Raised in Cleveland, OH, Susan Weir, M.D., received degrees from Case Western Reserve University (B.S.) and Northwestern University (M.S.) in Biomedical Engineering. She graduated from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, OH. She completed a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI where she served as chief resident in her fourth year. She underwent further training in a Musculoskeletal Medicine fellowship at Indiana University, where she also held the position of assistant clinical professor in the Department of PM&R at the IU School of Medicine.

Dr. Weir is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists, and the Michigan Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Weir is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy. She currently holds the position of Assistant Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Her special interests include interventional spine and joint procedures as well as Musculoskeletal Medicine.
