Brain Injury

A concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the result of a direct or indirect blow to the head that can occur after an accident or during a sport event. Additionally, patients can develop brain injuries as a result of stroke, aneurysm, brain tumor, developmental disorder, hydrocephalus, and brain hemorrhage. As a result of the injury, one can develop a variety of ailments including but not limited to headaches, confusion, memory impairment, dizziness, nausea/vomiting, brain fogginess, sleep disturbance, fatigue and changes in behavior. The physicians at LMT Rehabilitation Associates have years of experience in dealing with concussion and brain injury. We will speak to you about your goals and your plans to return to the activities that you enjoy. We discuss with family and caregivers the impact your condition will have on them. We offer treatments such as neurorehabilitation and spasticity management including botulinum toxin injections.
