Julie A. Ferris, M.D., received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at William Beaumont Hospital, where she served as chief resident during her 4 th year of training. Following residency, she completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in Edison, New Jersey.

She is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Medical Association, and the North American Brain Injury Society.

Dr. Ferris has obtained advanced training in the treatment of traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries and spasticity management, including oral medications and botulinum toxin injections. She is also skilled in general rehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, management of nerve disorders, and performance of electrodiagnostic studies.

Dr. Ferris currently holds the position of Medical Director of Traumatic Brain Injury at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak and Troy.
