Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Burlingame completed his undergraduate training at University of Wisconsin receiving a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. A 2008 graduate of Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Burlingame served an internship and subsequent Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at William Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak where he served as chief resident in his fourth year. He then completed Fellowship in Interventional Spine Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine Michigan State University where he also held the position of Clinical Instructor in the Department of PM&R.
Dr. Burlingame is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and by the American Board of Electrodiagnositc Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Burlingame is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy. He currently holds the positions of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program Director at Beaumont – Royal Oak, Electrodiagnositic and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship Director, and Assistant Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. His special interests include acute pain management, interventional spine procedures, musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, orthopedic rehabilitation, and electromyography.
