A concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the result of a direct or indirect blow to the head that can occur after an accident or during a sport event. Additionally, patients can develop brain injuries as a result of stroke, aneurysm, brain tumor, developmental disorder, hydrocephalus, and brain hemorrhage. As a result of the injury, one can develop a variety of ailments including but not limited to headaches, confusion, memory impairment, dizziness, nausea/vomiting, brain fogginess, sleep disturbance, fatigue and changes in behavior.
