LMT Rehabilitation Associates was organized in 1967 and is named for its founding partners: Drs. LeBan, Meerschaert, and Taylor.

Currently we are a single specialty group and have 18 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers (APPs) in our practice.

All of our physicians are Board Certified in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), or physiatry. Physiatrists (fizz-ee-‘a-trists) are physicians specializing in non-surgical management of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems. Common conditions we treat include sports and traumatic injuries, neck, back and joint pain, spinal disorders, brain disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation and cancer rehabilitation.

We practice across a variety of settings. In addition to our large outpatient practice, we see patients in hospital consultation and manage inpatient rehabilitation units at Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak and Beaumont Hospital-Troy. We also provide consultation and supervise the rehabilitation of patients at many local nursing facilities and subacute rehabilitation facilities.

Across these settings we perform diagnostic testing and provide many services such as EMG, SSEP, joint injections, spinal injections, Botox injections for spasticity and lymphedema management. For more detailed information on these services and procedures please see the services tab above.
